A majority of the ingredients and equipment listed are optional. It mainly depends on the individual’s taste and what they prefer to obtain their sweetness from. This can be agave syrup, honey (if you’re a honey vegan), maple syrup, stevia (if you want fewer calories), organic sugar (coconut, white, or cane sugar if you enjoy more processed sugars).
It’s important to note that I listed “Organic Sugar” to prevent any mistakes in buying brands that use bone char to process sugar. Not all brands use this method, which is why researching can be essential. A majority of “organic” brands are safe to use as they do not use the method of processing sugar with bone char.
Do you like chai? Try this combination together! Combine ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of sweetener of choice, ⅛ teaspoon cloves, and ¼ teaspoon nutmeg with 4 cups of unsweetened almond milk. Stir to combine thoroughly. The longer the spices sit in the almond milk the stronger the taste becomes. You now have Chai Almond Milk!
